Each year Society of St. Andrew Delmarva provides fresh food to more than 500,000 hungry neighbors across the Delmarva peninsula and all of Maryland! We build partnerships with farms with excess food to share; volunteers who help us gather it from local fields or pick it up from local packing houses or markets; and local agencies who always need good, nutritious options for the neighbors they serve!  In 2025, we have already shared more than 10 million servings of good food with 105 agencies and engaged 1,000 volunteers in active service.

The need continues to increase!  Agencies tell us that fresh food is always requested and always appreciated, and it's something they receive very little of.

Society of St. Andrew shares food with food pantries at no cost to them, allowing them to use their scarce budgets on other expenses.

In the US, about 35% of food goes to waste, and fresh produce is the food most likely to be wasted.  Meanwhile, according to the United Way, about 45% our friends and neighbors live with food insecurity.  Even folks who are working struggle to make ends meet!  Getting that good food to hungry people is a win-win!

Please give as you are able this holiday season! Your gifts help put good food onto the tables of people in your community!
