Our mission is to support families in the greater Worcester County area who are expecting or have children ages birth through four years old. We will focus on setting children up for success in school, as well as empowering parents to gain the skills and knowledge to help their families thrive.
Our vision is to support families in their pursuit of personal goals and successful parenting practices. We will provide children with a high quality early care and education environment as well as a nurturing, safe space for parents to grow and learn. We will work with our local elementary schools and other agencies to provide a network of resources and services that will serve our families. First Wave Families is a Maryland Patty Center in partnership with Maple Shade Youth and Family Services. Funding is provided by Maryland Family Network and the Maryland State Department of Education.
