As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with over 35,000 members, the Y provides crucial programs and services to more than 50,000 people every year. With the help of generous donors, we are able offer key outreach programs that teach children to swim, prepare children six months - to five years old for kindergarten, provide summer enrichment programs to combat summer learning loss, mentoring, diabetes prevention programs, cancer support and so many more. They Y turns no one away due to the inability to pay and provides over $2,000,000 in financial assistance to over 20,000 participants. Join us and help strengthen the foundations of our communities.

Teaching children to be safe around water is not an option on the Eastern Shore; it is a necessity. The YMCA works with Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester County Boards of Education to provide free Water Safety lessons to every 4th grader in the county.
This program helps students to learn essential water safety skills opening up a world of possibilities to them while reducing the risk of drowning. Last year we taught over 3,000 4th graders how to be safe around the water at no cost to their families.
