Worcester County Developmental Center

Worcester County Developmental Center (WCDC) has a time-honored tradition of providing exceptional services to adults with developmental disabilities. WCDC has been in existence since 1973 and has grown exponentially over the past 52 years. WCDC provides services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities who live and work across Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset counties. These services include residential services, day habilitation, community development services, transportation, respite services, employment services, nursing support services, and personal support services.

Our residential and respite group homes are located across Worcester County. Our day habilitation, community development services, transportation, employment services, and personal support services stretch from Worcester County into Wicomico and Somerset Counties as well. We are the only provider of these services headquartered in Worcester County, MD and without the support provided by our skilled, compassionate staffing team our clients would face homelessness, isolation, neglect, and so much more. Our clients have access to social/peer networks, independent living, and their communities at large through our services.
