Wicomico Public Library

Wicomico Public Library has served residents of Wicomico County since 1869, providing access to books and other media, computers, online services, educational and cultural programming, and a wide range of additional community support. Services are offered through the Paul S. Sarbanes Library in Downtown Salisbury, the Centre Branch located at the Centre at Salisbury Mall, the Pittsville Branch, and around the county through the mobile services of the Bookmobile, Mobile Learning Lab, and Reader Van. Wicomico Public Library strives to be an inclusive, welcoming community resource that meets the diverse needs of all Wicomico County citizens.

For the first time in more than 60 years, Wicomico County will have a brand-new flagship library — a vibrant, state-of-the-art building designed to meet the evolving needs of our community. We're relocating our Paul S. Sarbanes Library to a unique facility on Schumaker Pond, surrounded by 10 acres of green space. With soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, and beautiful views over the water, this new library will be a welcoming place for learning, creativity, and connection.

We’ve received more than $3 million in grants from the State of Maryland and nearly $3 million in allocations from Wicomico’s County Government, but we still need your support to make this new library a reality. Join us because you recognize the value of libraries.
