Because of You, Mothers and Babies Find Hope!

Her Story

She once sat on a cold bench, pregnant and alone, with no idea how she could bring a baby into the world. Then—because of generous hearts like yours—she walked through the doors of a long-term maternity home.

There she found more than shelter. She found safety, a warm bed, and women who believed in her. Because of you, this story is possible. She learned to cook, budget, and prepare for motherhood. She laughed again. She began to dream again. And when her baby was born, she wasn’t alone, she was surrounded by love, dignity, and the tools to build a new life.

Your gift will make stories like this possible.

We are in the process of renovating a beautiful home on an 8-acre property on Nanticoke Road in Salisbury, MD—soon to be Noa’s Maternity Hope Cottage. This will be a safe, stable, and nurturing refuge for up to 12 mothers and their children who are homeless, at risk, or without secure housing due to unplanned pregnancies.

Currently, there is no maternity home within 100 miles of Salisbury. Noa’s Cottage will fill that critical gap—offering not only shelter, but also transitional housing until each baby is six months old. This gives mothers the time and support they need to create a healthy, sustainable future for themselves and their children. Moms and their children can stay with us during their pregnancy and up to 9 months following their pregancy to assist them in being successful contributors to their communities and families.

Key Program Elements

Comprehensive Screening: Each resident participates in a thorough vetting process to ensure genuine commitment to recovery, growth, and long-term success.

Structured Daily Living: Residents follow a rigorous schedule that includes household responsibilities, meal preparation, educational sessions, Bible study, devotions, and worship.

Personal Mentorship: Each woman is paired with a mentor who provides transportation to medical appointments, attends church with her, and offers ongoing spiritual, emotional, and family support.

Childcare Access: On-site daycare within Noa’s Hope Cottage enables mothers to pursue employment and educational opportunities with confidence.

24/7 Care: A dedicated house mother provides round-the-clock supervision, guidance, and care.

Educational Program: A structured curriculum equips both mothers and fathers with essential parenting and life skills. Participation in these modules is rewarded with earned privileges, such as phone use and family visitation.
